What is Title I?

Title 1 is the largest federal aid program for elementary and secondary schools. The program supports supplemental services designed to improve the educational performance of low achieving children in higher-poverty schools.

The amount of money a Title I school receives is based on the number of students receiving free or reduced lunch.
